Book signing and cocktails from the book, served up at my neighborhood bar, The Martha, home to great ferments and local cheese. Local cheesemaker Sue Miller of Birchrun Hills will join me for a special cocktail+cheese pairing (5-7 p.m.)

May 20, 2016: Cocktail Hour Happy Hour at Field Table (WI)

Join André and me in downtown Madison, WI from 4:30-6:30 at Field Table (10 W. Mifflin St.) on the square. We’ll be sampling signature cocktails from The New Cocktail Hour and signing books!

May 21 2016: Market Cocktail Party + Book Signing (WI)

Shop the Dane County Farmers’ Market, then stop for a market inspired cocktail at Field Table (10 W. Mifflin St.), right on the square, 9-noon.

May 26-28, 2016:  Garden to Glass Cocktail Workshop at the Lodge at Woodloch  (NJ)

My brother/co-author, Andre, and I will be the culinary guests at The Lodge at Woodloch in the Poconos. June 1, 2016: Cocktail Dinner at Russet BYO (PA)

A special evening of cocktails from the new book paired with a 4-course dinner in the private dining room at Russet, one of Philadelphia’s best BYOs. April 10, 2016: Cocktail and Cheese Demo at the Curd Convention (PA)

Join me at the Curd Convention — part of the Philly Farm & Food Fest — for a celebration of local cheese. I’m teaming up with Anna Juhl of Cheese Journeys for a “Will Travel for Cheese” tasting and talk at noon (we’ll have a very special local selection, plus some incredible cheeses from afar). From 1-2 p.m., I’ll be signing books. And at 3 p.m., I’ll be in the Libations Lounge for a special cocktail demo paired with local cheeses from Weaver’s Way Co-op (sign up at the Libations Lounge entrance; limit 30 seats). We’ll show you how to make a simple drink for a patio cheese board.

April 23, 2016: Cocktail Hour with Mike Geno & Madame Fromage (PA)

May 1, 2016: Cocktails + Cheese Tasting on Headhouse Market  (PA)

Join me at The Twisted Tail from noon-2 p.m. for farm-to-glass cocktails, a special market cheese board, and a signed copy of my new book! I’ll be using seasonal ingredients from Headhouse Farmers’ Market and its vendors, which is just a few steps from The Twisted Tail. Hit the first farmers’ market day of the season, then come in for the tasting. Or, enjoy brunch at The Tail and stay for the workshop. Pop by Grey Lodge Pub in Mayfair, where the bar is committed to serving a weekly cheese from The Di Bruno Bros. House of Cheese each Sunday. The goal? To eat every cheese in the book!

March 13, 2015 Valley Milkhouse & Madame Fromage with Rowhouse Spirits:

at Greensgrow Farm, 7-9 p.m.  SOLD OUT!

Picture a spring cheese tasting in a candle-lit greenhouse in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. We’ll sample a line of gorgeous French-style cheeses made by Stefanie Angstadt of Valley Milkhouse Creamery  — an extraordinary new, young PA cheesemaker — and pair her dreamy wares with local fruit cider, plus two types of spirits from Philadelphia’s own Rowhouse Spirits. We’ll also have local jams and nibbles. Come meet Stefanie, learn about pairing cheese with spirits, and enjoy a lucious evening. Tickets are $35.

Dec. 15, 2014: Max ‘n Madame!

A Master Class with Cheese Expert Max McCalman & Madame Fromage

Famed maître fromager Max McCalman joins Madame Fromage at High Street on Market for a master class on pairing local cheese with wine. McCalman is the authority on pairings and brings knowledge from his many years at Picholine and Artisanal in New York. He is also the author of numerous books, including Mastering Cheese and Cheese: A Connoisseur’s Guide to the World’s Best. 

The master class will begin with a festive reception (5:30-7:30) where you can sample a variety of cheeses, enjoy bubbly, and meet local cheesemakers from Yellow Springs Farm, Cherry Grove, and Birchrun Hills Farm. From  7:30-9, guests will sit down for a master class to taste a series of pairings led by Max McCalman and Madame Fromage. The ticket price ($75) includes both events, a swatch book of Max’s favorite cheese and wine pairings, and cookies. (To attend the reception only: $30.)
